PLEASE ATTEND MONDAY JUNE 30 AT 7:30 P.M.Important progress is being made on the Chandler Mill bridge project and now we need your help! The bridge and surrounds have received encouragement from the National Park Service on its eligibility for the National Register of Historic Places. And, the County and PennDOT are becoming more comfortable with a one lane bridge, yield controlled each way (vs. their two lane preferred option to date).
PLEASE ATTEND the public meeting Monday, 30 June, 7:30 p.m., at the Kennett Township Building to learn more and to express your support for the 16' two-way yield-controlled option. It is critical that we have an excellent turnout and broad support for the one-lane two-way bridge option. We look forward to seeing you there on the 30th. S.A.V.E. is a non-profit community group whose aim is to vastly improve the safety of all users of PA 41 and other area roads while maximizing preservation potential in the corridor and minimizing direct and secondary impacts from transportation projects.
S.A.V.E. is organized to research, make public policy recommendations, and educate the public regarding safe and sustainable long-term plans for the transportation infrastructure of southern Chester County, particularly Route 41.
S.A.V.E. will advocate for the balanced integration of transportation planning with comprehensive land use planning and the preservation of the unique natural and historic resources, agricultural lands, watersheds, and environmentally sensitive open space of the region.
- Understand the Concerns to "solve" the problems of PA 41 through conventional approaches and the need to address the inordinate volume of tractor-trailers.
- Choose S.A.V.E.'s Solution that will bring back safety and livability right away for the full twenty-mile corridor, protect our community into the future, and save taxpayers hundreds of millions of dollars.
- Help promote a sustainable alternative by contacting your elected officials and voicing your support for the S.A.V.E. three-part solution. Become part of the solution by signing our petition online and joining S.A.V.E. today.
