RE: Route 41, Southern Chester County—S.A.V.E.’s Alternative Plan

Dear Officials:

By now, your office should have received a copy of the166-page report/plan that S.A.V.E. (Safety, Agriculture, Villages and Environment) has presented to PennDOT.

The S.A.V.E. plan offers a detailed two-lane alternative to the PennDOT plan that

• Meets all the needs of Route 41.
• Provides a safe, feasible, sustainable, and attractive solution that supports the region’s land-use goals.
• Reduces substantially the severe environmental impacts of the PennDOT plan.
• Cuts by five-fold the enormous costs of PennDOT’s four-lane proposals.

We strongly urge that the S.A.V.E plan be included in the preliminary alternative analysis and the Draft Environmental Impact Statement, the critical process that will decide the fate of Route 41.

Thank you very much for your attention to this matter that so crucially affects Southern Chester County.
